Reiki Classes for Spiritual Healing

reiki-classes-for-spiritual-healingWhen it comes to Reiki, the ability to learn isn’t dependent on a person’s intellectual capacity. It doesn’t take years of practice or hours of meditation. It’s simply passed on from a teacher to a student. Reiki is a pure form of healing that’s not dependent on acquired ability or talent. Because of this, the healer’s personality will be less likely to hinder or overshadow the significance of the experience. Reiki classes allow the student to learn this art of healing, but it’s not taught in the traditional way other healing techniques are taught. The process opens the palm, heart, and crown chakras, creating an important link between the Reiki source and the student.

The Ways of Reiki Healing Attunement

Reiki healing is a powerful spiritual experience. The attunement energies will be channeled into the student, through the master healer, during the teaching process.  This process is guided by the god-consciousness or rei-consciousness and adjustments are made during the process depending on the individual needs of the student. This special class is attended by spiritual beings, such as Reiki guides, who help to gently guide the process. Many people have reported mystical experiences involving visions, healings, past life experiences and personal messages.

Reiki attunement can also effectively increase a person’s psychic sensitivity. Many students have reported experiences that involve increased intuitive awareness, opening of the third eye and other types of psychic abilities.

Once a person has received Reiki attunement, they will have Reiki for the rest of their life.  It doesn’t wear off and a person will never lose it. A person will only need one attunement for each level in order to be attuned to that level, but additional attunement classes can bring a number of benefits. Some students has found that additional classes in attunement of the same level can add a lot of value to that level. These types of benefits include increased strength of the energy, refinement of energy, clarity of mind, a raised level of consciousness, increased psychic sensitivity and healing of personal problems. These additional attunements are usually administered by someone who has taken the Reiki of the third degree.

Attunement can begin the cleansing process that will affect the mind, emotions and the physical body. Thought patterns and feelings that are no longer useful will be flushed from the body, in addition to toxins that have been stored in the body.

How to Prepare for an Attunement

If you want to improve the type of results you receive during an attunement ceremony, the purification process is recommended. Purification allows the attunement energies to work more efficiently in order to provide better benefits.

Purification includes the following steps:

•    Do not eat fish, poultry or meat for seventy-two hours prior to an attunement ceremony. These foods contain female hormones and toxins from pesticides, in addition to heavy metals that can make a person’s system sluggish, throwing it out of balance.

•    Consider following a juice or water fast for twenty-four to seventy-two hours, especially if you’re a vegetarian.

•    Decrease your intake of caffeine. Caffeine can create an imbalance in the endocrine and nervous systems.

•    Stay away from alcohol for seventy-two hours prior to the attunement ceremony.

•    Abstain from sugar.

•    Cut back on smoking

•    Meditate for one hour a day for seven days.

•    Avoid watching TV or listening to music for three days prior to the ceremony.

•    Spend as much time with nature as possible.

•    Let go of all your jealousy, hate, and anger

Completing an attunement ceremony allows a person to become part of a group of people who use Reiki for healing purposes. While Reiki isn’t a religion, a person must prepare their body and mind with the intention to pray and work in a religious mode.

Learning about the Attunement Process

The attunement process that’s taught in all reiki courses is a combination of a special Tibetan technique and the Usui system. It’s believed that Reiki originated in Tibet and because if this, the use of Tibetan symbols and techniques work to create a better connection with Reiki origins. This type of unique attunement process has been developed over time in order to provide more powerful results and to encourage a wider range of energies compared to the traditional Usui system.

A student who wants to practice the original Usui system can do so easily and it’s often explained clearly during in-class instruction.

Ongoing Reiki Training

Once a student has found the right teacher, the best and simplest advice many instructors give their students is to follow their heart. When a person decides to study Reiki, they must consider the following questions:

•    Is this the right time to study Reiki?

•    Do I feel in my heart that I should study with this teacher?

•    Am I able to commit to practicing regularly?

In order to experience and work with healing energy, learning the art of Reiki is an excellent starting point and a good method to use for deepening your awareness of universal energy. This healing art will complement other types of spiritual practices and healing methods.

There are no fast and hard rules when it comes to how you start healing or approach Reiki. Again, it’s important to listen to your heart and find a group and teacher that can help to guide you through your experiences.

Your true work will begin once you have learned a healing technique. In order to develop your sensitivity in and understanding of Reiki, it’s a good idea to devote some of your time to practicing regularly, and enrolling to reiki classes. You must also find a supportive practice group and teacher and continue your study of this challenging healing art.  You may find these courses in Reiki intimidating at first, but you’ll quickly realize that most individuals in these study programs are very supportive, nurturing and understanding, not to mention eager to help. Reiki groups consist of other students at or above your attunement who can help you to practice attunement ceremonies, hand positions and meditation and set you up for success.
